KIOCL OBSERVES WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

The raising demand for fuel and the usage of natural resources in abundance will definitely create shortage of fuel world wide in coming years.  So, we have to shift away from conventional non-renewable fuels towards alternative energy sources like Bio-fuel etc. said Dr. Balakrishna Gowda, Professor, University of Agricualturl Sciences, Bangalore.

He was speaking on the occasion of World Environment Day function organized by KIOCL Limited at its community hall, Bangalore on June 5.  The time has come to think and concentrate on alternative fuel for Petrol and Diesel, the consumption of which is growing unrestrictedly.  The Bio-fuel, which is being extracted from seeds of trees etc, is very much economical and also environment friendly can be one of the appropriate options he opined.  He also said, that the Economic progress can be achieved only when the Development and Ecology co-exist.

Shri.K.Ranganath, CMD, KIOCL in his address said, that the protection of environment is responsibility of every citizen.  Every one has to take all possible steps to protect our Planet.  We can contribute in our own small way by planting seedlings surrounding our houses or on top of terraces in pots and also keeping our environment clean.  Which may help in protecting our planet from the changing environment to some extent, he said.
